New Orleans Career Center

The New Orleans Career Center (NOCC) prepares Orleans Parish public high school students and local adults for high-wage, high-demand careers with clear sightlines to future growth and prosperity. Our trainees explore, prepare for, and enter career pipelines – through technical training, industry-based certifications, hands-on and work-based learning.

We envision a world where every public school student in New Orleans graduates from high school equipped to choose their own future and shape the future of New Orleans. New Orleans Career Center offers adults highly-focused, industry-informed Rapid Reskill training to enter or re-enter the workforce.

The NOCC team partners across industry, education, government, community and workforce development to design and deliver workforce preparation and training programs aligned to economic growth and access to opportunity in the Greater New Orleans area.

Our current pathways span healthcare, engineering and manufacturing, culinary arts and hospitality management. New Orleans Career Center will strategically grow programming and partnerships over the next five years to expand pathways  and triple our 2022 trainee enrollment to serve 1200 New Orleanians annually by 2024. We anticipate relocating to our renovated, 140,000 sq/ft. state-of-the- art technical training facility in Spring 2023.
