At Élan, we are more than a team, we are a family. We cultivate an environment that prioritizes maintaining strong relationships among staff, students, and families. We know this is the way to make a meaningful, long-lasting impact on our students’ lives. At Élan, we structure our classrooms and intervention so that every teacher has the support needed to excel in their role and develop the skills needed to pursue their future goals. At Élan Academy, you are called and supported to do your best work to provide our students with the world class education they deserve. Since our founding in 2017, Élan has consistently been named among the highest performing schools in New Orleans Parish. 

Our Mission

Through a classical curriculum, high quality instruction, and leadership development, Élan Academy Charter School ensures that all students have the foundation necessary to thrive in secondary school, succeed in college, and access a life of opportunity.

Our Model

We maximize individualization and propel early technology literacy through rich and frequent blended learning. We stand firm on three concepts - grammar, logic, rhetoric - and three components – structured learning, Great Books, spoken language. Our 21st century approach to learning, joined with a classical curriculum, provides an innovative and powerful option for preparing students with the foundation necessary for lives of opportunity.
