Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Charter School is in the historic Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana. Since 1995, it has stood as a beacon of academic excellence, community empowerment, and social responsibility. Founded in the spirit of Dr. King’s enduring legacy, we serve a diverse population of scholars from Pre-K through 8th grade, nurturing their intellectual, emotional, and social growth in a safe and supportive environment. Our dedicated educators inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning while fostering leadership, civic engagement, and respect for all.
