Position Summary

The Senior Talent Manager will join InspireNOLA’s Human Capital Leadership Team during an exciting phase of growth. The Senior Talent Manager will play a critical role in the growth of InspireNOLA Charter Schools by leading the recruitment team’s strategic efforts to recruit and select the “best in class” talent across our schools and network office.

 

The ideal Senior Talent Manager will come to the position with a passion for recruitment and will lead the InspireNOLA’s efforts to innovate and broaden our current recruitment and cultivation strategies. The Senior Talent Manager will bring a love of recruitment data and will be deeply driven to constantly improve recruitment practices and processes.

 

The Senior Talent Manager will execute the design and management of the full cycle recruitment process including recruitment planning, data analysis, goal-setting and course corrections, sourcing, applicant screening, interviewing, and new hire cultivation. 

 

The Senior Talent Manager will prioritize the overall candidate experience, work with a sense of urgency and continuously exemplify InspireNOLA’s core values. Further, the ideal candidate will be a data-driven professional, constant learner, skilled networker, a confident self-starter, and exhibit the ability to influence across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

The Senior Talent Manager will:

  • Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning
    • Lead innovation of recruitment and cultivation strategies
    • Lead execution of cultivation strategies to recruit high performing, experienced teachers and staff to InspireNOLA
    • Develop realistic job descriptions identifying required skillsets, educational attainments, professional experiences, competencies, behaviors and expected position outcomes.
    • Develop and manage local talent pipeline partnerships (universities, colleges, TFA, teachNOLA, etc.)
    • Identify flight-risk areas and propose proactive retention strategies

 

  • Recruitment, Retention and Engagement
    • Set team sourcing and cultivation strategies and goals
    • Support the Talent Team in further development of recruitment, sourcing, and cultivation skills
    • Manages teacher certification records
    • Ensures information is accurate and up-to-date with Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE)
    • Processes certification applications and tracks certification expirations dates
    • InspireNOLA's liaison to the LDOE certification office
    • Conduct initial candidate screenings and prepare the hiring manager to interview candidates.
    • Ensure the recruitment process is timely, professional and culminates in a positive candidate experience.
    • Support the recruitment team in codification of recruitment and cultivation best practices

 

  • Stakeholder & Team Leadership
    • Lead weekly analysis, reflection, and reporting of recruitment data and metrics. Use the data to lead course corrections to ensure we are recruiting the highest quality candidates
    • Support the Deputy Director of Human Capital with maintaining, tracking, and reporting school staffing data
    • Directly manage InspireNOLA’s Talent Team
    • Champion the mission, vision and values of InspireNOLA Charter Schools. 

 

Position Qualifications & Competencies

  • At least 3 years of successful charter school recruitment experience, New Orleans experience preferred but not required.
  • Passionate about recruitment innovation and always looking for ways to improve on past performance.
  • Extremely high internal bar for recruitment excellence.
  • Demonstrated work history in sourcing candidates, cultivating a positive candidate experience, excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proven critical thinker with stellar written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Commitment to a high level of customer service and flawless execution.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Excels in flexible, fast-changing environments
  • Candidates with classroom teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

 

Compensation & Benefits

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as employer retirement contribution, is included.
