Job Type Full-time Description The  Special Education Teacher  is crucial to support students with IEPs in meeting their learning goals within the general education setting and specialized settings. The Special Education Teacher works with general education teachers to co-plan, execute and assess instructions to monitor student growth and achievement and ensure their needs are met. Description The teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a program which creates an environment in which students can learn and develop optimally. Role and Responsibilities The duties of the teacher may include, but are not limited to the following tasks: Instruction Providing dual language instruction to elementary students Willingly assisting the instructional process in its many forms. Supporting school-wide instructional initiatives. Gathering student data through observation, dialogue, testing tools, etc., and designing strategies to meet student needs.
