Description
The teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a program which creates an environment in which students can learn and develop optimally.
Role and Responsibilities The duties of the teacher may include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
Instruction
Providing dual language instruction to elementary students
Willingly assisting the instructional process in its many forms.
Supporting school-wide instructional initiatives.
Gathering student data through observation, dialogue, testing tools, etc., and designing strategies to meet student needs.
Remaining current with Louisiana Student Standards and other instructional requirements.
Attending Professional Development sessions.
Assessment
Conducting regular formative and summative student assessment.
Maintaining an accurate and current gradebook, tracking student data, and drafting report cards.
Conducting school-wide benchmark assessments....
