POSITION: Early Elementary School Teacher (Grade K, 1st, or 2nd)

 

REPORTS TO: Elementary School Assistant Principal

 

 START DATE: 2026-2027 School Year  

COMPENSATION: Salary range starting at $48,000 

THE ROLE  

 

When you join the Success at Marshall team, some of the exciting work will include:  

 

  • Creating a loving, supportive, and structured learning environment.

  • Teaching reading, writing, math, and science using Tier 1 curricula 

  • Facilitating social emotional learning using the Compass model

  • Using data to inform planning and lead small group instruction

  • Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population

  • Communicating and collaborating effectively with grade level team members and other colleagues to ensure students meet their goals

  • Building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with families

  • Other duties as assigned



THE PERSON

MUST HAVES  

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution 

  • Minimum 2 years of teaching with a track record of achieving excellent results (as measured by DIBELs or other metric)

  • Science of Reading Certification (if not, must complete in first year of employment at Marshall)

  • Flexibility; ability to navigate change quickly and effectively

  • Strong emotional foundation and cultural competency

  • Belief in the importance of social emotional learning 

  • Openness to feedback and excitement to grow

  • Collaborative; ability to set clear goals, and then work in close partnership with others to achieve those goals

THE NICE TO HAVES  

  • Certification in Elementary Education

  • Familiarity with DIBELs/MCLASS

  • Experience teaching Illustrative Math, CKLA, and/or Amplify Science

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

We are committed to pay equity. For each role we hire for, we establish the compensation band in which the open role fits. The entry point of this band is $48,000. The actual level of the successful candidate (and corresponding salary) will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, demonstrated competencies, and other relevant factors.
